Reference Rating
Reference ratings for Endorsement® are critically important. They are our primary source for documenting an applicant's skills in the domains of Reflection, Working with Others, and Thinking. Each category of Endorsement® requires three professional Reference Ratings. For every category, one of the reference ratings much come from a current supervisor. There is a process established for the vetting of a reference rater who is not endorsed to determine if the proposed rater is familiar enough with the Competency Guidelines® to rate the applicant's knowledge and skills as defined within.
Reviewing the questions from the reference rating form is recommended both for applicants and raters. These questions can be used in supervision sessions to mutually assess the applicant's professional progress.
