Endorsement Renewal

Endorsement® renewals are completed tri-annually.  The next renewal due date is on or before December 31, 2027. In order to renew your PA-AIMH Endorsement®, the following is required:
  • On-going membership with PA-AIMH or with another infant mental health association. PA-AIMH’s annual membership is based on the calendar year, from January to December. PA-AIMH membership renewals are due by January 31 of each year*. 
  • 15 clock hours of training/year related to culturally sensitive, relationship-focused practice promoting infant and/or early childhood mental health. 
    • Mentor-Clinical: A minimum of 45 clock hours of training is required over the 3-year cycle, focused on the promotion of social-emotional development of children and/or other relationship-based principles of infant/early childhood mental health. Includes a minimum of 9 hours of didactic training about reflective supervision/consultation.
    • Family Associate, Family Specialist, Mental Health Specialist, Mentor-Policy, Mentor-Research Faculty: A minimum of 45 clock hours of training is required over the 3-year cycle, focused on the promotion of social-emotional development of children and/or other relationship-based principles of infant/early childhood mental health.
    • ​Endorsed Reflective Supervisors:  9 hours of didactic training about reflective supervision/consultation s required over the 3-year cycle.
  • 12 clock hours/year of reflective supervision/consultation (RS/C) is required for IMH/ECMH Family Specialist, Mental Health Specialist, Endorsed Reflective Supervisor, and Mental Health Mentor-Clinical. If you have been endorsed as a Mental Health Mentor-Clinical for 3+ years, then you will only need 10 clock hours of RS/C for renewal; peer supervision or collaborative consultation may be used at this point.​
​Additional guidance is being developed around the new Tri-Annual Renewal process and will be shared with PA-AIMH Endorsees when available.

Reinstatement of Endorsement

If an Endorsee should find that their Endorsement has lapsed, due to missing the Renewal window, please take the following actions:
  1. Complete the PA-AIMH Request for Endorsement Reinstatement.
  2. Log into your EASy profile and add all applicable Renewal Requirements:  Training Tab: Provide documentation of 15 hours of training completed within the past 12-month period. Supervision Tab: Add hours of RSC received within the past 12-month period.  If RSC has not been received, but there is a plan to receive 12 hours of RSC per year, add the name of your RSC provider into a new entry on the Supervision Tab.
  3. ​Pay the $25 Reinstatement fee added to your cart or request a Paypal invoice from PA-AIMH.
